Agusan del Sur: How to get there?

Agusan del Sur is accessible by land from neighbouring Surigao, Butuan, and Agusan del Norte while the latter can be reached only by ship or plane from Manila via Cebu. From there, travellers take public land transport through the Japan-Philippine Friendship Highway.

Bachelor, Ceres, and Mintranco Lines buses pass through the province about every 30 minutes as they link Butuan and Davao cities. From Butuan, Superstar goes to Talacogon and San Luis twice a day, and Superlines serves Bayugan and Talacogon. Two roads cut across from the main highway to Lianga Bay, Surigao del Sur, one junction is near Prosperidad, the other near San Francisco.
