Cebu: How to get there?

The province of Cebu, 570 kilometers (about one hour via PAL or 21 hours by boat) from Manila, serves as the main gateway and transportation hub in southern Philippines. PAL operates up to 11 flights a day between Manila and Cebu; from Cebu , it flies to 19 destinations in the Bicol , Visayas, and Mindanao.
Boats from Manila also regularly call at the port of Cebu en route to other destinations. William Lines operates between Cebu and the Mindanao ports of Ozamis and Iligan ; in Cebu . A regular ferry service also links Cebu with nearby islands, call Aboitiz for more information.
Cebu has no city buses, although several buses operate between the city and nearby towns. When leaving the city by bus, note that northbound and southbound buses use different terminals. The most convenient way to get around is by taxi (locally called "PU"). Jeepneys and tricycles also ply Cebu's thoroughfares. Rental cars are available.
