Mizuno Ami…The Sailor Mercury Ami was the second (first if you don’t count Sailor Moon…which I don’t, cuz she’s the first of the actual Sailors, who’s job is to PROTECT the Moon Princess…which is Usagi…so…).
When Ami first appeared, it was suspected that she was working for The Dark Kingdom…or the Negaverse…depending which you feel like! ~_^, but Ami-chan actually turned out to be a Senshi!! Ami-chan is the Princess of the planet Mercury, and is therefore the Sailor Senshi of the planet…dugh!!…well…I’ve heard that the “Planet Princess’” are actually Goddess’…but I’ll leave that up for you to decide. Because she’s a Princess, she’s part of Usagi’s (Princess Serena/Serenity’s) court in the Moon Kingdom…and I’m guessing the title carries on to Crystal Tokyo etc. |

More Ami facts... Ami’s North American name is Amy (whoa! Big changes there!) Anderson (that I didn’t know). I believe the only time her last name is brought up in the North American series is when she picks up the telephone and says, “Anderson residence.” (Direct quote from show)
Her Japanese name actually means “Beauty of the Water”…pretty cool iie? Her birthday is September the 10th, which makes her a Virgo. Ami’s favourite food is sandwiches…which isn’t very specific considering the verity of sandwiches out there. And the food that she dislikes the most is yellow tail tuna. Her favourite flower is the white lily (very pretty if I do say so myself!) Her favourite colours are blue and shades of blue…really shocking… Her favourite subject is math, and apparently she doesn’t have a subject she doesn’t like…but I’d say she wouldn’t like Home Economics or P.E. In conjunction with her favourite subject, she spends most of her time studying (it’s good she does, cuz her dream is to be a doctor…which requires a big bunch of work!!). In synopsis…Ami is a very smart girl!…but her actual power as a Senshi is debatable. I have to admit she’s not one of my favourite Sailors…but she’s got her good points. You can’t fully appreciate the Sailor Moon series without showing the beauty of every character…no matter what you feel about them!! *^_^* |
