Coral Springs, Florida - a town better known for hurricanes, crocodile-infested swamps and incontinent old people than for its music scene has remarkably spawned punk upstarts New Found Glory (NFG).
Reeling from the nasty little trials of everyday life and failed relationships common to everyone everywhere, the members of NFG banded together in the summer of 97. Bent on creating music reflective of their feelings while expanding the narrow definition of "punk", NFG blend together equal parts of hardcore, emo, and rock to position themselves at the forefront of the next generation of music.
The bands lyrics are true-to-the-heart and straight-to-the- point combined with a sound that is pure energy and unfettered passion expressed through distorted amps and hooky choruses. NFG is an easy anesthetic for hang-ups and break-ups. Lyricist Steve Klein describes his writing as, "Just about relationships and growing up - things everybody knows about. This is a record about looking forward to new things and moving forward in your life."
Their new self-titled album follows closely on the heels of their 99 full length Nothing Gold Can Stay and their 00 EP From The Screen To Your Stereo (a movie themes tribute CD) which have sold a combined 30,000 in the short time they have been released. While the new CD maintains the sound that won them legions of fans, MCAs involvement with drive-thru meant NFG were able to spend more time in the studio for this session, singer Jordan Pundik explains, "It was less stressful, we didnt have to worry about time, so we could get more creative. Also, this was the first time we worked with a producer (Neal Avron) and that extra set of ears allowed for more experimentation."
Having logged over 50,000 miles in their van, blazing live sets in over 100 cities with the likes of MxPx, Unwritten Law, The Get Up Kids and Reel Big Fish, NFG established an enthusiastic fan base while proving their versatility and mass appeal. With their contagious lyrics and live performance sure to convert even the most timid, New Found Glory engages their fans in their boundless energy. This experience earned them both the 98 Slammie Award, given to the best new band in Florida, and cemented their reputation as a must-see-live band on the Vans Warped Tour when NFG out drew the main stage headliner.
NFG - music for anyone whos ever been in (and out of) love.

| The Ataris |

|
The Ataris are...
Kris Roe: Lead Vocals/Guitar John Collura: Guitar/Vocals Mike Davenport: Bass/Vocals Chris "Kid" Knapp: Drums
The Ataris story reads like a punk-rock fairy tale: teenager lives in boring mid-western town (Anderson, Indiana); goes to a Vandals show and gives the band a tape; weeks later gets a call from Vandals bassist (and owner of Kung Fu Records) Joe Escalante asking him to record for his label; moves to California and puts band together with drummer Derrick Plourde (ex-Lagwagon); makes record "Anywhere But Here" (produced by Vandals' guitarist, Warren Fitzgerald); gets invited to tour with some of his favorite bands (see below); puts together solid new line-up; becomes Fat Mike's (NOFX) favorite new band, who then releases their EP, "Look Forward to Failure" (Fat Wreck Chords), produced by members of the Descendents. The saga continues with "Blue Skies, Broken Hearts...Next 12 Exits" (produced by Lagwagon singer/producer, Joey Cape), for Kung Fu Records, which has sold an average of over 600 copies per week worldwide since its April 1999 release, and still growing.
Just days after completing a triumphant 3-month U.S./Canada tour, The Ataris continued supporting "Blue Skies..." on the U.S. Fat Tour 2000 with No Use For A Name and then jumped on the Warped Tour. By fall, they were opening for MXPX in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii, ending the year in the U.K. and Europe with The Vandals.
Based in Santa Barbara, California and together just over 3 years, their unbelievably catchy songs, tireless work ethic, and non-stop touring have made them the fastest growing band in recent punk history.
Some bands The Ataris have toured with include: MxPx, Blink 182, NOFX, Social Distortion, Zebrahead, Good Riddance, Unwritten Law, No Use For A Name, Lagwagon, The Vandals, Dance Hall Crashers, Nerf Herder, Fenix TX, and Madd Caddies; will be touring the U.S. with Lagwagon and The Vandals in March 2001, then head straight to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K. for April and early May, and finish up with a few dates with Blink-182 and Alkaline Trio in the Mid-West. June-July - Warped Tour, then a headling tour of U.S./Canada/Europe in the fall.
