Track Rules 2004

We have included a link to a new form that must be completed by us for violations of the 2004 rule book and also a notice we a received from the NHRA regarding Support Vehicles and Spectators in the staging lanes. Please review them and feel free to ask any questions you may have!

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST COMPLY WITH THE RULES, THERE WILL BE NO  EXCEPTIONS. ALL CARS MUST CONFORM TO THE NHRA RULE BOOK FOR THE CLASS IN WHICH THEY PARTICIPATE. ALL CAR AND BIKES MUST COMPETE IN APPROPRIATE CLASSES ON SUNDAYS, MONDAYS, EXCEPT LICENSING VEHICLES. THE TIME YOU ARRIVE AT THE TRACK AND GO THROUGH TECH WILL DICTATE THE AMOUNT OF TIME TRIAL RUNS RECEIVED. TECH WILL BE OPEN ALL DAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY & MONDAY 8AM TO 12 NOON. STAGING LANES CLOSE AT 1PM & ELIMINATIONS BEGIN AT 2PM SHARP.  THE RELEASE FOR ACCESS TO RESTRICTED AREAS IS TO BE SIGNED BY ALL TEAM MEMBERS WHEN THE VEHICLE GOES THROUGH TECH IN THE AM ONLY. HANDS MUST BE STAMPED!

No spectators are allowed in the staging lanes during racing. All spectators must be behind the fences or in the grandstands. Absolutely no admittance in the roped (prohibited) areas, including the circle track.

RAIN-OUT POLICY: RACE DAYS, in the event of inclement weather or
other occurrences that cause cancellation of racing prior to time trials, a full
credit for another event in the 2004 season will be issued. If time trials have begun, a percentage of entry fees will be credited depending on the time, that 
the event was stop. IF THE EVENT IS STOPPED BY WEATHER OR
OCCURRENCES AFTER THE 1ST ROUND OF COMPETITION
BEGINS, THE RACE WILL BE CONSIDERED FINISHED AND NO RE-
FUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE MADE. On Saturday, Test and Tune days.
If 4 hours of time trails are completed and it rains time trails are completed.   No refunds or credits will be made.

Camping will be allowed on all race weekends. Please keep your area clean & respect the facility. Noise must be kept to a minimum after 11:00 pm, your neighbors might be sleeping
VIOLATORS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PARK.

Speed limit of 10km per hr is in effect on the return road after the tower and 
throughout the pit area at all times. No burn-outs or testing, other than in 
designated areas allowed. Failure to comply with these safety rules will result in disqualification and removal from the park. All off-road vehicles (80cc limit) are for towing or pit use only during the racing events and must display the competition number of the vehicle visibly. Absolutely NO children under 14 years of age may operate any off-road vehicles.  This includes golf carts.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

No glass bottles or containers are allowed in the park. There is also no alcohol 
allowed in the Motorsports Park during events. ANY PARTICIPANTS UNDER
THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED FROM RACING.

VIKING INT'L RACEWAY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CARS, TRAILERS, TOW VEHICLES ETC... BEING LEFT ON THE PARK PROPERTY .
THIS WILL BE AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU WILL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN PROPERTY AT ALL TIMES.

Class Rules

 No Class will be run with less than 8 Cars.

As Stipulated in the 2004 insurance policy: TOW VEHICLES: Children 14
years and under are to be inside the Cab or the car. Truck tail gates are to be 
up with people inside and sitting down on the bed, not on the sides. Please
keep your speed down on the return road.

All entries will be allowed to change their dial-ins before each run. Bring your
own shoe polish, it is your responsibility for your own dial-in changes and they 
must be easy to read from the tower.  All complaints and/or questions should
be referred to the personnel in the staging lanes or tech line. UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY RACERS BE ALLOWED IN THE TOWER.
Our tech inspectors are Kevin Kanski, Wally Stelmach ,Don Senkow and Mike Burzuik. All decisions on vehicle, bike or snowmobile safety are final. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. To help our safety safari do their job, if you break please pull over to break the sides of the track if possible. DO NOT STAY IN THE GROVE ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF THE TRACK.
You do not need a permanent number to race, but if you want us to keep track
of your points, you must keep the same number assigned to you by the tech
inspector for the whole season. Racing is open to everyone who has a valid
drivers license. Anyone who is under 18 must have a Minor's release form
signed by both parents or legal guardians. This form is available at the track
and is good for one season.

Buy Back Race

FIRST ROUND BUY BACK--Losing racers can buy back into a separate race
for $10.00 Entries will be allowed until the end of the 2nd round of eliminations
The pot is 100% payback from all entrants to the winner. One full tree category will be run.

Super Pro (0-10.99, Pro Tree)

This class will run on a ladder. The ladder will be chosen at random and it
will be announced during lunch break.  The ladder will be posted in the super pro pits by 1:30pm, it will be the racer's responsibility to know who he or she
will race. If a racer breaks it is their responsibility to notify the staging director or tower by 1:15pm so they will not be included in the ladder. The bye run will be decided by placement on the ladder. Any competitor not in the stage lanes at thestart of eliminations will allow his/her pairing to make a single run. The laststaging movement must be forward. Deep staging is NOT allowed.

Pro ET (0-11.99, Full Tree)

Entries are to line up in lanes 1 and 2. The bye run will be determined by
drawing from the total number of participants. Double-bulbing is legal and
deep staging is allowed.

Heavy Street (11.50 & Slower, Full Tree)

Entries are to line up in lanes 3 and 4. Bye runs will be chosen in the same
manner as PRO ET. NO DELAY BOXES ALLOWED. Double-bulbing is legal
and deep staging is also allowed. You do not need slicks to run in this Class.

Trophy (12.50 & Slower, Full Tree)

Entries are to line up in lanes 5 and 6. Bye runs will be chosen in the same
manner as Pro Et. Double-bulbing is legal as is deep staging. This class
is for new comers to the Track and you do not need slicks to run in it.

Bikes (All)

Entries are to line up in the appropriate lanes according your dial-ins. Dial-ins
must be brought up to the tower by 1:30pm. Bike racer's must use leathers
except for slower bikes, you need a jacket, helmet, and proper boots and gloves.
NO EXCEPTIONS

Snowmoblies

Snowmobiles will be allowed to run in appropriate classes determined by their dial-in time.  This is a new rule for 2004.  They are to line up in the lane of the class they are running in.
