Just Like A Child

  You're just like a child,
  your innocence shining through.
  You are made of glass,
  so delicate,
I don't want you to break.

  You're a wonderful friend,
but sometimes I wish you grow up.

  They say friendship's like gold,
  and I'm afraid this gold
  is tarnishing.

We can't always keep in touch,
and we don't have much in common
  anymore.

I still want to know you,
  but sometimes I wish,
  that you grow up.

  You talk so simply,
you are just like a child.
You'll have to face the world,
and I don't know if you can,
  this world is so bad,
  I'm afraid you might break
  under all the stress.

  Sometimes you don't see,
  that I'm getting older,
that I don't always wanna play games anymore.
  You get this funny look,
  when I talk about love,
  and sometimes you laugh.

  But I don't think it's that funny.
I still want to know you,
  but sometimes I wish,
  that you grow up.
