Lieutenant Colonel George Macdonnell

Also known as "Red George," Macdonell was an aggressive officer who commanded the Glengarry Light Infantry. He raided Ogdensburg, New York, in Febuary 1813 and made a 200 mile trip with his battalion in three days to support de Salaberry at the Battle of Cateauguay.
