FAQ:
Q: What's with the whole family/birth issue?
A: All right. I will start off with telling you something that really bugs me. In RPGs (see Acronyms page) where its a one-species deal, like otter Holts or mouse tribes, the way new mice/otters OUGHT to join is by being BORN into the tribe/holt. People's problem there is that they want to just throw together a full-grown char and join up. The more decent RPers may have their char arrive at the "Gates" forum IC. But (even though this isn't a one-species RPG), in Eastguard, having your char arrive at the gates IC is only a minor, secondary way of joining. Here, your char actually lives out its entire life, starting out as a baby (see Join page for more information).
Q: What is role-playing, anyway?
A: Until I slap together a decent tutorial, you can find out about role-playing by going to
http://xepher.net/~fortruddler/tutorial/tutorialframes.html. One difference, however, between good RPing and the RPing you will learn there is this: asterisks and colons are not allowed. We RP Starblade Isle style. That means you write your RP posts like a 3rd-person story.
Q: How do I go to Fort Eastguard?
A: Finish reading this page.
Q: How do I join Fort Eastguard as a soldier?
A: When you first join Eastguard, you have to join Eastguard Village first, unless your char is not going to be born at Eastguard. You serve out your char's younger life in the village. Then, when your char is full-grown, you can become a soldier or choose an occupation at the village.
Q: What exactly does a blacksmith do?
A: Blacksmiths takes requests IRL from General Shoreblade to design certain weapons for the soldiers and then draw pictures of them and send them to him.
