Wells - Interesting Shops
Wells has many interesting shops offering a wide selection of goods - on the High Street you'll find familiar national chains but in amongst and down the many side streets are some real gems. This is not a definitive listing yet and more will be added as and when time permits.

Antiques and Alike
The
Wells Trading Post - situated on West Street ( tucked behind Tesco ) - stuffed
full of secondhand furniture and bric a brac - it is far larger inside then it
appears - if you enjoy browsing old knick knacks than have a look.
Alcove
- Antiques shop situated in Priest Row ( adjacent to St Cuthberts church )
The Falkland Islands Agency Shop
This really is a unique shop - it promotes everything to do with the
Falklands Islands - if you want a wolly jumper made of Falklands wool then visit
- the shop waves the flag for these South Atlantic islands - it is located in
Tucker Street ( near Tesco ) - well worth a visit. Follow

Gift Shops and similar
Number
Twelve - Up in the Market Place alongside the Bishops Eye is this shop,
newly opened in 2002. Number Twelve offers quality British made products -
china, glass etc, all very smart.
Toys and Models
The
Toy and Model Centre adjacent to the Union Street car park offers a large
collection of detailed metal models - aircraft, soldiers, cars plus a selection
of toys and games - interesting for kids of all ages !
