IRISH SODA BREAD
3 cups flour
3 tbsp. granulated sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 cup raisins
½ cup nuts, chopped
1 1/3 cups buttermilk
Mix together first 7 ingredients, then add the buttermilk and mix well. Knead the bread 10
times. Put onto a greased cookie sheet and shape into a loaf. Bake at 375 degrees for
40-45 minutes or until done.
