To the Editor:
I have an uncomplicated, essential correction to make to Jason Walker's assertion about "gerrymandering" the definition of employee in a letter to the Daily yesterday. It is simply not possible for ASET/UAW to be "granted their definition of who is and isn't an employee." There is a legal definition of employment. To be considered an employee, one must provide a service, be compensated for that service, and be under the supervision of one's employer. This definition has been determined by the National Labor Relations Board, not by Tufts graduate students for their own purposes.
