Mabon is the second festival of the harvest, and time to celebrate the compleation of the grain havest which began at Lammas.

On this sacred day, Witches rededicate themselves to the craft, Wiccan initiation ceremonies are performed by the high priestess and priests of covens (provided the initiates have been with the coven at least a year and a day).

The tarditional pagan foods of Mabon are corn and wheat products, brads, nuts, vegtables, apples, roots (carrots, onions, potatoes, etc.), and cider.

The fruits and vegtables are prasied as proof of the goddeses and gods love. There is a ritual sprinkling of dried leaves.

The colors for Mabon are red and brown. Altar decorations are pine cones, acorns, wheat, and/or dried leaves. The incense are benzoin, myrrh, and sage. The gemstones are carnelian, lapis, luzuli, saphire, and yellow agate. The candle colors are brown, green orange, and yellow.

The ritual herbs are acorns, asters, benzoin, ferns, honeysuckle, marigold, milkweed, mums, myrrh, oak leaves, passion flower, pine, roses, sage, solomon's seal, and thistles.
