Interesting Information

First published in 1968 by William Heinemann Ltd.

Book dedication: ???
A film of the novel was shot in 1976, starring Lee Marvin as Flynn O'Flynn and Roger Moore as Sebastian. It was directed by Peter R. Hunt. Alas, the film did not do very well, critically or financially, and, to date, is the last Wilbur Smith novel to be filmed as a main feature (others made been made straight for video).
The film, SHOUT AT THE DEVIL, was shot on location in a town called Port St. Johns on the east coast of South Africa. The burning and exploding planes and ships seen are actually card board models (and it shows!).
