Last units stationed at Kobbe:

5th Battalion, 87th Infantry
518th Engineer Battalion
TEAMS (the National Guard's and Reserve's heavy equipment and stockpile of supplies for engineering and medical exercises in Panama and the region conducted by such units) were  maintained at Fort Kobbe.

Panama National Police's Dr. Justo Arosemena Advanced Learning Center for Officers (Dr. Justo Arosemena Centro de Ensenanza Superior) (established in 1998) -- most of the 800 series of buildings and former barracks (Buildings 840, 841, 841-A, 842, U842, 816, 818, 820, 812, 833, 824, U816, 826, 803-A, 796, 811, 813, U813-1,2,3, 798, U798-1,2, U825  [for total of $8,978, 174  - ARI]

Panama National Police's activities supporting public security, including Services Support Group and Mobil Support Group (Buildings 801, 801-A, U-801, 803, 803-A, 805, 805-A, 807 [for total of $2,342,533 - ARI] 

 

Red Cross (Cruz Roja) - Buildings 380 and 380-A

 

Intercontinental Bonita Beach Resort & Spa, an eco-tourist and recreational facility at Kobbe Beach, a $12-million project being developed by Paradise Beach Corporation (headed by Panamanian builder Herman Bern, who developed recently the Gamboa Rainforest Resort). The first section (begun in 2004 and expected to begin operation in December 2005) features 195 rooms and five suites and a complex of restaurants, shops, church, swimming pools, spas, and conference rooms

1999/ Nov 15 Curundu Laundry Facility (Pacific side, behind former Curundu Heights Housing Area)

USE BY PANAMA:

Transferred by ARI (Interoceanic Region Authority) to the Ministry of Health for laundry services for Santo Tomas Hospital, National Cancer Hospital (now at Gorgas Hospital), and other medical facilities.
