Favorite Marilyn movie: Some Like It Hot (1959).

I'm not interested in money, I just want to be wonderful.~Marilyn

Only one word can describe this woman. And that word is goddess. How can you not look at a picture of her and not think that?

I became fascinated by Ms. Monroe a few years ago. I would stop to watch anything that came up on the tv that had to do with her. I then began to check out her movies. I began to realize that she had an amazing presense. She could pull off anything. Her "dumb blonde" title is owed to the fact that that is the only material she recieved in the beginning of her career. And if I do say so myself, she worked with what she had and well! And anyone that called her "dumb" obviously haven't seen that many of her films. Films such as, Bus Stop and The Misfits truly proved that this woman was just as talented as she was beautiful. She could pull off drama just as well as comedy.

My favorite movie of hers has to be Some Like It Hot. She had incredible comic timing and worked well with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Obviously, others agreed because she took home the Golden Globe for her performance as Sugar Kane in the film.

I became a bigger fan when I jumped into reading biographies of her. I came to the realization that she was one of the nicest people anyone could have met. She put others before herself, which is probably why she got hurt a lot. She also trusted too much. She just wanted to be loved. And she truly loved her fans which is why I am proud to be one.

As I'm writing this I'm realizing that I feel a lot more about this woman then I thought. I have so many feeling and thoughts about her in my head. The problem is I can't put them into words. They're just feelings. She was just an incredible woman and a great inspiration. And despite what others think, an absolutely great role model.
