  • June 8th- Chris Jericho Got his spot in the final 16 men, by defeating Test in a qualifying match. 

  • June 19th-  Chris Jericho got his spot in the final 8 men, by defeating Edge in a Second- Round Match.  

The final 8 Men in the King of the Ring are; Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho Crash Holly Bull Buchanan Rikishi Chris Benoit and Eddie G.

Winner:  Rikishi
Details:  Val goes for a double ax handle but Rikishi counters it into a belly to belly suplex. 
Contestants:  Kurt vs. Crash
Winner:  Kurt Angle
Details:  Angle picks up the win with an Olympic Slam.

 

King of the Ring Finals

 

Contestants: Rikishi vs. Kurt Angle

Match rules:  1 fall, King of the Ring championship, (No time limit)

King of the Ring 2000 Champion:  Kurt Angle

Details:  Many fans were probably surprised when they saw Kurt Angle when he delivered his Olympic slam on the over 400 lbs Rikishi.  They were probably even more surprised when they saw Rikishi who kicked out of the Olympic slam with a two count. Rikishi had close calls also, Kurt Angle barely kicked out of Rikishi's sitting pin.  But the final wrestling move was when Kurt and Rikishi were at the top ropes.  Kurt belly to belly suplexed Rikishi off the top ropes becoming King of the Ring 2000.
