Q: Why did you start making Java Image Studio?
A: I made this program as a direct result of sitting down at a solaris platform and wanting to manipulate images. I found a total lack of software present to accomplish the task. The only thing that I found close to something I wanted was an icon editor. Frustrated by this fact I decided to do something about it.
Q: What about other solutions?
A: I know there are many different programs out there that can do image illustraition/editing. Since I knew anything written in java is platform independant, I saw that not only could I make up a shortcoming I saw for the Solaris OS but for any other operating system that could use a appilication like JIS.
Q: Where do you see this program going?
A: Perhaps I'll make it a shareware title.
