12th Anniversary Celebration of Phoenix Yee Fung Toy Association Building

On April 28th, 2001 on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the completion of the wholly owned  Phoenix Yee Fung Toy Association Building, all area Yees, young or old, from near or afar, closely or remotely related, all gathered together at the Association Building for a worship service of thanksgiving in memory of our virtuous ancestors.

Promptly at high noon, the service began under the direction of Kam Tim Yee, and all those gathered rose in reverent memory to pay homage to our supreme ancestor Yee Chung Sheung.  The service was followed by a well stocked buffet lunch of Chinese pastries prepared by members of the Women抯 Department. The lunch fare was livened with 3 barbecued piglets provided by the Association, and two additional piglets with one each donated by Elder John M. Yee and Honorary Advisor Jerry M. Yee respectively.

In accordance with the custom of the home village, each celebrant received a distribution of one portion of barbecued piglet, with a double portion going to senior members 75 years or older.  Everyone went home well fed and happy around 3:00 P.M.
