News Highlights--Yee Fung Toy Association’s 20^th US National Convention

 The US National Yee Fung Toy Association convention was held in the beautiful Chinatown area of Sacramento, California.   Several hundred representatives and delegates from all over the US, Canada, and Hong Kong attended this five day convention that began on August 19, 2000.    This 20^th convention was unique as it celebrated the 1000^th birthday of the Yee Fung Toy’s founder YEE Chung-sheung.

At this convention, the following US National officers were elected:

Western Grand President                      David H.B. Yee

Western Grand Vice President               Tom Lee  (Yee)

Eastern Grand President                      Gimdak Yee

Eastern Grand Vice President               Peter Yee

The convention approved the continuation of the annual US $30,000 for the US Five Tong Association’s  National Scholarship program with US $3,000 for designated for the Canada Yee Fung Toy Scholarship program.   This funding source was established by the Five Tong Associations of Hong Kong.   Additionally,  another annual US $40,000 was approved for the Yee Fung Toy’s Moo-kai US National Scholarship program.
