Prescott Mayor Sam Steiger and I have had a couple of phone calls this weekend.

Mayor Steiger plans to help arrange a McCain Recall Rally in the Prescott town square on Saturday, July 21, at 5:00 p.m. A weekend art festival in the square will be wrapping up just as the rally gets started, ensuring a sizeable and diverse crowd. My political parody band The Cartridge Family (visiting Prescott on a weekend getaway) plans an outdoor appearance in conjunction with signature gathering and brief speeches by campaign activists, many of whom are driving up from Phoenix for the event. Most of them, the band included, will be stopping off in New River on the way, for the recall rally there that morning.

To sign the recall petition or get petitions for gathering signatures, or to contact the organizersof the McCain recall effort, call 602-234-5757, or send email to info@mccainrecall.org. For further information visit the Official Recall website http://www.recallmccain.org.

The band and I are looking forward to seeing all our northerly friends, and bending an elbow on Whiskey Row. For those who keep asking about our CD, the third recording session went very well and we hope to have much of our repertoire available as a demo soon. Real soon.

Sincerely, Alan Korwin, Author Gun Laws of America
