Well while Chris Azzaro of the LVF was calling those that run for office "our heros", I was thinking about all the"libertarians" who are anti-heros. Murry Rothbard once said that libertarians are some of the worst humans ethicswise.

My list:

1. Michael Rhodes. This man runs petition drives all over the country and lived in Colorado when I knew him. He bragged about giving "$1000 to Harry Browne". Well I guess he gave it all to him because he did not have any money to pay me when I worked for him in San Fransisco in 1999. Luckily I had my own car and was able to quit while i was only owed $400, others lost thousands.

2. Ken Morse and Gerry Morris. For the past few years they have hosted the "Libertarian Forum", where they talk about the holocaust "lies" and how Isreal is evil. These men are racists and almost never do they talk about any freedom oriented issues.

3. Darryl Bonner. Darryl is a petitioner, perhaps the best petitioner of all time. Why is that? Because he lies about the subject of the petition. In 1998, in the famed Chicago LP drive (which collected about 100,000 sigs and was thrown out) we were getting LP candidates on the ballot. He was telling people it was a petition to "save American jobs". He did about 3 times what I did!

4. Ed Kahn. This LP member said many strange things to me over the years. My favorite: (I asked him about Tucson marijuana laws) "You need to join the military to learn some respect for law!" Oh, and he puts up billboards that say "Libertarian-lawyer, abortion is murder" in Tucson.

5. Any elected LP member who votes for a tax increase. I can not find out the guy's name, but in New Hamshire there is a Dem/Lib who has passed tax increases!

6. The Finchers. This husband and wife team travel the country registering LP's for money. In New Mexico they were caught writing in Lib into the party slot! Talk about egg in the face. That was 1.5 years ago and when I was there last month, people still remembered!

7. An who could forget the ever so flakey Kat Gallant, who ran for gov of AZ in 1998 and stood me up after booking time on my show. She traveled the state and "pimped" her lingerie hair salon instead of talking politics. Kinda like Harry Browne and his 1996 and 2000 book tours.
