Is your lawyer, Thomas Rawles, a volunteer or has someone been paying him? Is he a member of this list?

Ernie Says: I meet with Tom Monday. But he has been a reluctant participant from t he beginning since the Kat Galant campaign branded him a criminal with the media. He has nothing but bad experiences with Libertarians from all around the country. Browne was rude to him Schmerl did everything he could to des try him as a political figure for freedom and if it wasn't for the fact tha t he liked John Buttrick so much and enjoyed working with him he would have dropped off of the case after the Superior Cout ruling I'm sure. He has n ot been getting paid and I don't think his law firm that he works for would be very sympathetic to his being our free attorney forever as John was (if John hadn't been appointed to the bench the ruling from the appeals court may have been different :)

I will welcome Tom's continued efforts but I will understand if he choo ses to let us all rot in hell :) There are others that have shown some intr est for various reasons. We all have time to digest this and decide what wo uld be best.

I can't get out of my nind the comment from the judge that, since we al lowed the Statuatory Committee to exist in our bylaws (with the governing b oard as boss per Myers) then the statute couldn't be all that repulsive to us. This is exactly the argument that the Yavapai County chair made of many many years. She resigned rather than be part of a party that would comply in any way. Now she gets to say, "I told you so".

Lot's of info to go over before we make a more informd decision. That' s why I've been very curious as to the state of ballot status for any liber tarian entity.

Time to be patient fro a few days or even weeks,... (while I prepare :)

Ernie
