Well,.....

I talked to Dennis Godfrey from the Arizona Republic. He says that he wrote a little brief on the fact that the Glendale Initiative will be on the ballot. He said that the City of Glendale attorney said that they thought that it looked like we were going to have enough signatures (duh) and that they will challenge the initiative once it is voted on :)

Dennis also said that he has on his front burnner a story about the City of Glendale's Food Tax, Yeeee Hawwww.

I asked that he hold off until the end of September (no promises) and that we'd file by then. No matter what, they'd have to put it on the ballot before they could challenge that one too,... right? :) So Tim Weaver needs to get ready to be famous :)

As it stands now: We have a commitment from a founder of the Scottsdale Libertarian Alliance to field a candidate for the Scottsdale City Election (Likely Bill Lynch - who should be getting a salary from the Tribune for all of the letters to the editor that he has printed) Election - March 2002 We have Tim Weaver making quite a name for himself in Glendale and is likely a candidate for City Council there. Election - May 2002 And as a nice surprise,....... Gary Fallon and I are going to go for a win with him as a candidate in whatever legislative district he is in after the re-districting is done! We'll decide which primary to run in at the best time to do so and we'll add to that 35+++% with some good 'ole fashioned fun like we use to have.

Sooooo, My plate is full.

Gary Fallon has a great deal of Republican support from the masses. But the Socialist Republicans are in charge and he needs to be sure that Republican support from the grass roots can get him into the general. If that is in question then we may need to take the easy route and go Democrat so the attack on the communist Republican can take place in the general (heck, he can even promise to re-register Republican right after the election - Except for being a libertarian legislator in philosophy, all rules are out the window now :)

Are you starting to get it NOW?

And it looks like the Governor may call a special session for Sept. 10th to fix several things :)

Remember what I said about the 12th of September :)
