Group,

I finally figured out how to contact U-Haul in Phoenix, AZ. I posted to someone in E-Mail Media Relations. Six minutes after I posted to them, I received this reply:

Dear Michael:

The email regarding U-Haul is inaccurate. At this time, we are unaware and have not reported missing or stolen U-Haul equipment related to the recent terrorist attacks.

Thank you for your concern.

Sincerely, Clairissa Cooper Media & Public Relations Specialist U-Haul International, Inc. 2727 North Central Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85004 (800) 528-0361

I never mentioned anything about terrorist attacks. I just asked.... ______ I have heard that maybe 30 U-Haul and Ryder trucks have been reported stolen in the last couple of days. This word came form the East Coast. Is there any truth to it?

Why don't I believe this woman? I mean, she had such a coherent and cohesive reply back to me in 6 minutes. Even spoke about things I never mentioned. And some AZRKBA wag is gonna say something like...."Michael, can you say PREPARED STATEMENT?" And then I am forced to ask, "Why was the statement prepared?" And you will notice, I'm quite sure, that she didn't say the fucking trucks weren't stolen, just that they don't have any stolen out there that they KNOW are gonna be used for terrorism. This here investigative stuff can sure befrustrating. Sorta like standing an earthworm on end. Mercy.

Michael
