I am sad to report that Ernie Hancock has a tough choice ahead of him. 
He has asked me to solicit everyone's advice.  In case you haven't 
heard, Ernie has won the $400 dealer cost discount on a firearm of 
his choice, and his problem... he can't decide what to buy.

He has pretty much decided that his SKS covers a lot of territory but 
he is thinking about a FAL or Savage .308 or a lever-action (high 
caliber) or a semi-automatic shotgun (police - shortened style) for 
home defense.  Specific suggestions anyone.  He considered my 
suggestion briefly that an M79 grenade launcher was ideal for home 
defense (40mm cartriges are a little steep due to the tax), but he 
eventually rejected it.  Sigh.

So please post your comments on what Ernie can do with his decision 
;-) on this list-serv.  Serious or otherwise commentary is welcome.
