NORTHROP GRUMMAN ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS TRAVEL ADVISORY
Tuesday's terrorist attacks on New York and Washington have raised concerns about the safety and security of American interests worldwide. The primary concern focuses on the possibility of renewed terrorist attacks, if not from the sources of these events, then from others inspired by them.
The International Security organization of Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, in consultation with our International Business representatives in country, our International Security consultants and the US Government, provide these guidelines:
*All non-essential business travel shall be postponed for the next 10 days, both domestic and internationally.
*Foreign travel will require the review of the responsible Vice President and consultation with International Security.
*Travelers currently overseas shall keep a low profile, do not wear clothing or items that identifies you as an American, and check in with the Northrop Grumman ES Country Manager.
*If you are currently overseas on travel and ready to return to the United States, follow these guidelines:
1.If you do not have a confirmed reservation for travel to the United States and you are in the Middle East, please book the first leg of your trip through Europe and remain in place until the situation clarifies.
2.If you do not have a confirmed reservation for travel to the US and you are not in the Middle East, please remain in place until the air traffic chaos in the US becomes more manageable.
3.If you have a confirmed reservation for your travel to the US and believe that you need to return to the US now, please arrive at the airport several hours before your flight, use extreme caution, move quickly into the secure areas of the airports and exercise patience with the newly implemented security procedures.
*If you must travel within the US in the next 10 days, arrive at least 90 minutes before your flight and move quickly into the secure areas of the terminal. Exercise patience with the implementation of new security procedures which eliminate curbside check-in and require stringent ID and baggage search regimes.
Please check our website on Internet Central (by entering the eHR Portal and choosing Security then International) for further advisories from Northrop Grumman and the US State Department, as well as detailed country reports. We will release an update on Monday, September 17th if not earlier, as conditions warrant.
