I did some nosing around on my Win98 system and found the following info for building a Boot-to-DOS diskette. On mine I went to c:\dosboot and found a DOSBOOT.TXT file:
To make a DOS Boot Diskette for this HP Pavilion PC you should follow the steps below.
This DOS BOOT Diskette will: 1) Load the CD ROM driver 2) Load the Mouse driverThe DOS Boot Diskette that will be created by this procedure is ideal for DOS Games.
From the DOS prompt, using a Formatted Floppy: 1) From C: Type: "SYS A:" 2) Type: "COPY C:\DOSBOOT A:\"
The floppy will now boot and configure the Mouse, CD ROM.
So they copy everything from the \dosbot directory to A -
Volume in drive C is HP_PAVILION Directory of C:\dosboot

don't know if you'd already found that. (I hate proportional fonts)
How to wipe up after yourselfI did a defrag to move files over deleted stuff. which leaves all the former file contents still there.
so I used DEBUG to create an 8192 byte file filled with 0x"ff" and then created 2 .bat files to do a "copy /b x+x+x ... y" and "copy /b y+y+y ... x" Do this a number of times, until no more disk space, and you have hosed over all (well almost all) the free clusters with the "ff" pattern. Norton has an easier feature - but I don't have Norton.
hiding my tracks.
btw: "fs" means "fuckshit" in \gif\work for the zips
