Paul Byrd, Scott Shields and Francisco Rodriguez combine to hold Chicago down on 7 hits and 2 runs. Byrd pitches out of trouble in the bottom of the 3rd after A.J. Pierzynski has a solo homer and then 2 more runners reach before Byrd retires Jermaine Dye.
