Kenny Rogers, Tigers add drama ... and controversy to the Series, drawing even with a 3-1 win.

Rogers dominates on the mound, and discussion. Rogers tosses 8 innings of scoreless, 2-hit ball. However, the appearance of a substance on his hand in the 1st inning creates controversy.

Detroit makes big noise in the bottom of the 1st as well, as Craig Monroe takes Jeff Weaver deep for a solo HR, and then Carlos Guillen doubles in Magglio Ordonez. The Tigers extend the lead on Sean Casey's RBI-single in the 5th.

After Rogers departs, Todd Jones makes things interesting in the top of the 9th. Scott Rolen starts a 2-out rally, and scores on Jim Edmonds' double. Jones loads the bases before getting Yadier Molina on a ground out.
