Jeff Weaver, David Eckstein are improbable stars as the Cardinals beat the bumbling Tigers 4-2 to win the Series.

Pulled off the discard pile mid-season, Weaver limits Detroit to 4 hits and 2 runs over 8 innings, winning his 3rd game of the post-season. Weaver's ground ball in the 4th helps St. Louis tie, then take the lead with help from the Tigers. Justin Verlander throws it away while attempting the fielder's choice on Weaver's grounder, Yadier Molina scores on the play, and So Taguchi later scores on Eckstein's ground out.

Eckstein is also a part of the Cardinals' first run as his ground ball to Brandon Inge results in a throwing error as Molina scores.

Molina goes 3-for-4 with a pair of runs, Eckstein is 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and 1 run.
