Indians open Jacobs Field with a 4-3 win in 11 innings over the Mariners.

Cleveland rallies after Seattle's Randy Johnson nearly ruins the stadium's debut. Johnson takes a no-hitter into the 8th inning before Sandy Alomar follows Candy Maldonados's lead-off walk with a single into rightfield. Both come around to score on Manny Ramirez's double to left that ties the game 2-2.

The Mariners go up in the top of the 10th on Keith Mitchell's RBI single, however the Indians draw even on Omar Vizquel's run-scoring groundout in the bottom of the inning. Cleveland wins it on Wayne Kirby's 2-out single in the 11th.
