Minnesota strikes for 3 runs after being down to the final out with no one on. Brandon Morrow walks the bases loaded, and then Denard Span hits a high chopper off Miguel Batista that Adrian Beltre has to eat as Chris Gomez comes into score. Then Alexei Casilla singles to center scoring the tying and winning runs.

Seattle had built a 4-0 lead before Minnesota chips away, and then the Mariners tack on an insurance run in the top of the 9th. However, Morrow allows 3 walks after 3 Seattle pitchers had not allowed a walk all game.
