Johan Santana dominates the Rangers again, as the Twins win 1-0.

Santana strikes out a Minnesota record 17 batters in 8 innings, combining with Joe Nathan for a team-record 19 K's in a game. Santana had struck out 13 Rangers in a meeting in Texas in May, as the Twins combined for a then-team record 18 strikouts.

Santana retires the 1st 12 batters he faced before Sammy Sosa leads off the 5th with a single. Sosa also had a 2-out double in the 7th for Texas' only other hit. Michael Cuddyer's 2nd inning HR provided the game's only run.
