After losing the 1st 2 against cellar-dwelling Kansas City, and struggling against almost every team except for Chicago, the Twins get a combined shutout on the final day. Scott Baker goes 7 innings, allowing 4 hits. Jose Mijares and Joe Nathan each toss an inning of relief.

Joe Mauer goes 2-of-5 with 1 run and 2 RBI, and finishes with a .330 average to capture his 2nd batting crown.
