Games Notes

Twins crush the White Sox 20-1.

Joe Mauer hits a Grand Slam and drives in 6 as Chicago equals its worst loss in team history, a 19-0 loss to the Angels in 2002. It was just the 13th time in Minnesota history that the team scored 20 or more runs.

After the Twins score 1 run in the 1st, they strike for 7 runs in the 2nd, started off awkwardly enough with a throwing error on a sacrifice bunt and a Sac Fly. But Michael Cuddyer later adds a 3-run HR, and Joe Crede follows with a HR for back-to-back shots. Leading 10-0, Minnesota adds 6 more in the 6th highlighted by Mauer's Slam.
