Game Notes

Streaking Torii Hunter and crushing Justin Morneau rally the Twins, then beat the White Sox 7-4 in 10 innings.

Minnesota rallies from 4-1 down with 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th, with Hunter extending his hitting streak to 22 games with a game-tying RBI single. Morneau hits his 2nd HR of the game, driving his blast high into the upper deck in rightfield to win it.

After Morneau and Joe Crede trade solo HRs in the early innings, Chicago builds a 4-1 lead on the strength of a throwing error by Boof Bonser in the 6th. However, Minnesota rallies against the White Sox's bullpen, getting a run each on Jason Bartlett's single and Luis Castillo's ground out. Then Hunter, hitless in 3 at-bats, extends his hitting streak with a single to center that scores Bartlett.

A double by Castillo in the 10th, and an intentional walk to Hunter set the table for Morneau's 2-out blast off Nick Masset.
