Jason Thomas throws for 3 TDs, and the Rebels cap an incredible 2-year turnaround with a 31-14 victory over the Razorbacks.

After going 0-11 in 1998, UNLV finishes its 2nd year under John Robinson 8-5, the Rebels' most wins in 16 years. Thomas is at the center of everything against Arkansas. Thomas goes 12-of-17 for 217 yards, while UNLV's ground game rolls up 259 yards.

The Hogs build a 14-7 lead on a pair of TD passes by Robby Hampton, the 2nd, a 25-yarder to Boo Williams. But Thomas connects with Nate Turner for their 2nd TD pass of the first half, tying it 14-14. Thomas breaks the tie with a 54-yard TD pass to Troy Mason late in the 3rd quarter. Kevin Brown adds an 18-yard TD run in the 4th quarter.
