Michael Bennett sparks Wisconsin's rally. After Chris Griffith's 25-yard FG gives UCLA a 20-7 lead in the 3rd quarter, Bennett returns the ensuing kickoff 54 yards, setting up Brooks Bollinger's 3-yard TD toss to Chris Chambers. Bennett scores the game-winner on a 6-yard TD run early in the 4th quarter.

Bennett rushes for 83 yards, while Bollinger runs for 55 yards and throws for 116 yards and 2 TDs. Bollinger hits Lee Evans for a 54-yard TD pass in the 1st half.

UCLA plays the 2nd half without starting QB Cory Paus, who breaks his collarbone on the final play of the 1st half. Freddy Mitchell catches 3 passes for a Sun Bowl-record 180 yards, including a 64-yard TD pass from Paus.
