Washington dominates the 2nd half behind backup QB Cory Paus. Oregon scores the 1st 10 points, and leads 10-7 at the half. However, the 2nd half is all Huskies. Shelton Sampson gives Washington the lead with the 2nd of his 3 TDs on a 8-yard run capping the 1st drive of the half.

After a FG, Paus connects with Charles Frederick for a 10-yard TD pass and 22-10 lead. Then he finds Reggie Williams on a 63-yard TD pass early in the 4th, and linebacker Greg Carothers returns a fumble 55 yards for a score on the ensuing possession. Sampson's 77-yard TD run caps the night. Sampson finishes with 131 yards on just 6 carries.
