Michigan converts 4 turnovers by Iowa into 27 points to win the Big 10 opener. The Hawkeyes take a 7-0 lead on Drew Tate's 2-yard TD toss to Ed Hinkel on the opening series. But then Iowa's fortune turns.

After a FG cuts it to 7-3 in the 2nd quarter, Ernest Shazor recovers a fumble by Hinkel. On the next play Chad Henne hits Braylon Edwards for a 58-yard TD. Leon Hall picks Tate on Iowa's next possession. Following a 39-yard completion from Henne to Edwards on the next play, Henne scores on a 7-yard run for a 16-7 lead.

The Hawkeyes turn it over twice more in the span of 3 possession in the 2nd half setting up 2 more TDs. Henne goes 16-of-26 for 236 yards and 1 TD, with Edwards catching 6 passes for 150 yards.
