Oklahoma suffers 3 turnovers, including 2 interceptions of Jason White, offsetting 36+ minutes of ball control and 301 yards rushing. Freshman Adrian Peterson steps into the national spotlight with 225 yards rushing on 32 carries overshadowing Texas' Cedric Benson, who runs for 92 yards.

However, the Sooners manage just a pair of FGs before Kejuan Jones finds the end zone with a 6-yard TD run midway through the 4th quarter. But it matters little as Oklahoma's defense had Texas its 1st shutout in 281 games, stretching back to 1980.
