Washington State intercepts a pair of passes and block a punt, all in the 4th quarter. After a scoreless 1st half, New Mexico builds a 17-7 lead following Wes Junker's 31-yard FG early in the 4th quarter. However, Josh Swogger hits Trandon Harvey with a 13-yard TD pass after converting a 4th-and-9 on an 14-play, 82-yard drive.

Then Omowale Dada punts a New Mexico punt, setting the Cougars up at the 4-yard line where Swogger hits Troy Bieneman for a TD on the next play for a 21-17 lead. Washington State's defense then stops 2 New Mexico drives with INTs.

Swogger goes 24-of-38 for 240 yards and 3 TDs, with 2 INTs. New Mexico's DonTrell Moore runs for 167 yards, including a 61-yard TD, while Hank Baskett catches 9 for 165 yards.
