#2 Wolverines escape the Cardinals with a 34-26 win to stay unbeaten.

Michigan's offense rolls up big numbers, but the Wolverines have to survive a 1st-and-goal situation late in the game, and then a final desperation pass by Nate Davis before securing the win. Michigan runs for 354 yards, including Mike Hart's 154 yards and 1 TD, and Brandon Minor's 108 yards and 1 TD.

Ball State gives Michigan early warning of difficulty, using a safety and a 35-yard INT return for a TD by Erik Keys to grab a 9-7 lead in the 1st quarter. Michigan takes over, building a 24-9 in the 2nd quarter on the strength of Chad Henne's 7-yard TD pass to Carson Butler, and Minor's 40-yard TD run. But the Cardinals keep battling back.
