Paul Thompson throws for 265 yards and 2 TDs, while Oklahoma's defense forces 5 turnovers, including 3 INTs by Zac Taylor. The Sooners capitalize after Reggie Smith returns a fumble by Maurice Purify to the 2-yard line on the 1st play of the game. One play later, Allen Patrick scores.

Oklahoma's 2nd TD comes just as quickly as Thompson connects with Malcolm Kelly for a 66-yard TD on the first play following a Nebraska punt. After Nebraska cuts it to 14-7 before halftime, Thompson hits Kelly with a 3-yard TD in the 3rd quarter. Kelly has 10 catches for 142 yards.

Taylor goes 23-of-50 for 282 yards and 1 TD, but also suffers the 3 interceptions. Nebraska's final 4 drives end in Oklahoma territory on 2 interceptions and 2 failed fourth-down conversion attempts.
