Game Notes

#9 Tigers show that with enough defense, even the slightest bit of offense can be enough, in a 17-14 win over the Cornhuskers.

Auburn manages an embarrassing 178 yards total offense, but converts 2 Nebraska mistakes and one solitary drive into enough points for the win.

The Tigers' defense holds down Nebraska, to 230 yards with 152 coming on a pair of 1st half scoring drives. Karibi Dede's INT and 50-yard return sets up Brandon Cox's 9-yard TD pass to Carl Stewart to tie the game 7-7. A botched fake punt sets up Stewart's 1-yard TD run.

Auburn's lone 'offensive' score comes on John Vaughn's 42-yard FG following a 55-yard drive in the 3rd quarter.
