Louisville blows open a close game in the 2nd half. Pitt stays with the Cardinals forging a 17-17 tie in the 2nd quarter. But then Brian Brohm tosses the 2nd of his 4 TD passes, hitting Gary Barnidge with a 9-yard TD w/ 5:17 left in the 1st half.

Brohm tosses a 1-yard TD pass to Barnidge in the 3rd quarter, and JeJuan Spillman adds a 13-yard TD run giving the Cardinals a 38-17 lead less than 2 minutes later after William Gay picks Tyler Palko. Palko finishes his Pitt career, hitting 31-of-50 for 307 yards and 1 TD, but also throws 3 INTs.

Brohm goes 21-of-29 for 337 yards and 4 TDs, with Mario Urrutia catching 7 for 144 yards and 1 TD, and Harry Douglas hauling in 4 for 132 yards, including a 75-yard TD.
