Auburn stops one 4th quarter drive deep in scoring territory with help from a horrible no-call, then Eric Brock tackles Early Doucet 5 yards from the goalline on the final play to preserve the win.

Defense reigns as John Vaughn misses from 26 yards in the 1st half, then LSU's Colt David nails a 42-yard FG on the final play of the 1st half breaking the scoreless tie. Auburn finally finds the end zone on a 1-yard TD by Brandon Cox late in the 3rd quarter while the defense controls LSU.

Kenny Irons provides most of Auburn's offense, rushing for 70 yards while the rest of the team provides 112 yards offense. LSU's JaMarcus Russell throws for 269 yards, but the offense manages just 42 yards rushing.
