Navy rushes for 461 yards, while piling up 603 total yards in a dominating performance. Brian Hampton throws for 142 yards and 1 TD, and runs for 182 yards and 3 TDs. Reggie Campbell provides the counterpunch. Campbell catches a 77-yard TD pass and runs for 101 yards on 5 carries, including a 68-yard TD run.

After starting the game with the 77-yard TD pass to Campbell, Hampton opens a 14-0 lead for Navy with a 25-yard TD run in the 1st quarter. UConn tries to crawl back into the game, getting within 10 points twice, but each time Navy answers in a big way. First Campbell's 68-yard TD run starting the 2nd half, and then Hampton scores on a 52-yard run extending the Middies' lead to 34-17 early in the 4th quarter.
