Nittany Lions get lots of help to win 28-27 over the Gophers in OT.

Minnesota scores first in the OT on Bryan Cupito's 25-yard TD pass to Eric Decker, but Jason Giannini hits the left upright on his PAT. However, Minnesota's defense stops Penn State making the miss moot until Penn State gets a very, very late penalty (read: GIFT) giving the Lions a 2nd life. While announcer Mike Gottfried is incredulous over the bullshit penalty, Penn State wins on Tony Hunt's 2-yard TD.

(Apparently, it was retro weekend, flashing back to the '80s at Happy Valley when Joe Pa benefited from some blatantly wrong officials' calls and decisions.)

Hunt runs for 144 yards and 2 TDs, and adds a 15-yard TD catch. Anthony Morelli throws for 281 yards and 2 TDs. Cupito throws for 348 yards and 2 TDs.
