Ray Rice runs for 201 yards and 3 TDs, and the Rutgers defense turns away North Carolina's offense in the 4th quarter. William Beckford stops Ronnie McGill on 4th-and-goal at the 1, forcing a fumble and recovering it to stop a UNC threat with Rutgers leading 21-10. Then after Joe Dailey's 2-yard TD pass to Hakeem Nicks cuts it to 21-16 w/ 5:09 remaining, Joe Porter intercepts Dailey's pass on the 2-point try keeping Rutgers ahead by more than a FG.

Dailey goes 24-of-36 for 234 yards and 1 TD with 2 INTs, while adding a TD run in his North Carolina debut. Brooks Foster catches 11 for 120 yards.

Rice's 2-yard TD in the 1st quarter caps a 93-yard drive setting the tone for Rutgers.
